Irish citizen arrested as part of Spanish cannabis-trafficking network


An Irish person is part of a group of five people who have been arrested in connection with an international cannabis-trafficking network based in Spain.

The group were arrested after Spanish National Police stopped a German registered truck on Wednesday and discovered 2.6 tonnes of hash worth nearly €4m.

Two of those arrested are father and son of Dutch nationality, two are Spanish nationals and one an Irish citizen.
