Irish Cancer Society want fairest skin types banned from sunbeds

The Irish Cancer Society has said it would like to see the new bill, which ban's children from using sunbeds, also prohibiting people with the fairest skin types from using the facilities.

The legislation released earlier today will explicitly ban people under the age of 18 from using the products.

All sunbed operators will be required to provide training for staff and display health warnings on their premises.

While the group is welcoming the publication of the bill, it has said it does not go far enough.
