Irish among largest car and lowest public transport users

Irish people have the second-highest daily car use in the EU.

A Eurobarometer survey on Urban Mobility found that 68% of Irish people use their car every day.

Only Cypriots use their cars more, with 85% of them driving daily.

Irish people are the second lowest users of public transport, with just 8% of us using it daily.

Half of those surveyed here think that lower prices for public transport would improve travel within cities.
