Workers at Intel are still unclear of their future at the company.

Significant job losses are expected in the coming days with the company restructuring and shedding 12,000 staff worldwide.

Most of the losses here are expected at their European HQ in Co Kildare.

This woman owns a hairdressers in Leixlip and has said local businesses would lose a lot from staff cuts at Intel.

“I do have a good bit of clients from Intel and so it will affect my business and every other local business for sure.

“People do live around the local area and use the local business.”
