INMO will press for wage increases

The union representing nurses and midwives has said that they will press for restoration of wages lost to pay cuts, when they meet Minister Brendan Howlin.

Talks between the Government and unions on restoring pay levels for about 300,000 public sector workers will resume next week.

The INMO has said that it does not expect full restoration immediately.

But General Secretary Liam Doran said that they will insist on a timetable setting out how the money will be repaid.
