INMO says staffing cutbacks must be reversed

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said that staffing levels need to be brought back to pre-cutback levels.

The union has voted to accept the Lansdowne Road agreement by 71%.

However they say pay levels also need improvement.

General Secretary of the INMO is Liam Doran.

"That's got to begin with restoring the 4,000 plus nursing and midwifery posts that we're still short of from what we had in 2009 before the cutbacks began," said Mr Doran.
