Industrial action suspended at Connaught Telegraph

Seven members of the UNITE trade union have suspended industrial action at the Connaught Telegraph newspaper pending talks taking place this week.

The workers at the newspaper were protesting over a management decision to outsource pre-press work to a firm in the midlands and offer redundancy to the seven staff involved.

The company has agreed to stop installation of fibre optic cables to outsource the technology pending the outcome of the talks.
