The Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) will meet today to consider the new public sector pay deal.
The doctors' union is expected to make a recommendation to its members to accept or reject the deal.
The IMO walked out of the original Croke Park II talks, but says the proposals contained in the revised deal - known as the Haddington Road Agreement - represent progress.
However, the union is concerned by a proposal to cut the salaries of consultants earning over €100,000 a year.
