IMO recommends 'No' vote on Croke Park deal

The Council of the Irish Medical Organisation is to urge its members to vote against proposed cuts in the Croke Park extension deal.

The IMO met today to consider their response to the published proposals and said they would campaign strongly to try to secure a 'No' vote.

The organisation claim the proposals are designed to force doctors in public hospitals to work longer hours for less pay, which they say poses a danger to the lives of the patients as well as to the health and well being of the doctors themselves.
