IKEA has this afternoon stopped the sale of its hotdogs as a precautionary measure pending the results of tests on all its meat products.

IKEA has this afternoon stopped the sale of its hotdogs as a precautionary measure pending the results of tests on all its meat products.

Ikea stopped selling traditional meatballs in its store restaurants across Europe two days ago after traces of horsemeat was discovered in a batch exported to the Czech Republic.

The withdrawal of weiner sausages, which are sourced from the same supplier as the company's meatballs, affects Ireland, France, Spain, the UK and Portugal.

Meawhile, Russia confirmed today that it has found horsemeat in a shipment of pork sausages imported from Austria.
