The Chief Executive of the IDA has said there will be between 9,000 and 10,000 jobs created here next year.

Barry O'Leary said job creation would be mostly in the areas of digital media, IT and services.

He said foreign direct investment continued to grow, with more investment this year than there has been in the last six to seven years.

"There's been a lot of business in digital content...and there is a sign that manufacturing is beginning to pick up again," he said.
