IBRC mortgage-holders told loans won't go into arrears despite obstacles to payment

Mortgage holders with IBRC are advised that their mortgages will not go into arrears, even if they are currently prevented from making payments.

The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation was liquidated last week as part of the scrapping of the old Anglo promissory note.

Customers of the defunct bank have reported difficulties in making payments on their mortgages since last week.

It is understood that mortage holders at IBRC will be receiving letters shortly to advise them that their mortgages will not go into arrears while arrangements to receive the payments are finalised.
