IBRC liquidation 'no effect on us at all': Quinn group

The Quinn Manufacturing Group has said the high-drama liquidation of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation last night had "no impact whatsoever" on it.

"IBRC had a minority shareholding (24.9%) in this business and has no involvement in the management of the group," the company said this morning.

"Consequently this change has no implications whatever for our company, for our employees, or for our dealings with our customers and suppliers.

"It is business as usual."

The Quinn Manufacturing Group employs more than 1,000 people in the Cavan/Fermanagh area. The group comprises four key manufacturing divisions — container glass, plastics and packaging, radiators and construction products.
