The North's former First Minister Ian Paisley has been laid to rest today following a private service at his east Belfast home.

The North's former First Minister Ian Paisley has been laid to rest today following a private service at his east Belfast home.

A public memorial service will be held later in the year for the former DUP leader who passed away on Friday.

He was 88 years of age and had been ill for some time.

Tributes have been paid to him today at Stormont.
