The HSE has set up a helpline for parents in Co. Donegal who may be concerned for their children following the death of 15-year-old Shannon Gallagher.

The HSE has set up a helpline for parents in Co. Donegal who may be concerned for their children following the death of 15-year-old Shannon Gallagher.

Shannon, the older sister of Erin Gallagher, from Ballybofey, died by suicide last night.

Her death comes just six weeks after 13-year-old Erin took her own life, amid allegations that she had been bullied online.

Ireland has one of the highest suicide rates in Europe.
