HSE official released by gardaí


The HSE official arrested for questioning about an alleged fraud at St Mary's Hospital in Gurranbraher in Cork has been released without charge this afternoon.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested this morning and taken to Gurranbraher garda station.

The investigation dates back to July when gardaí, acting on information, raided St Mary's Hospital and seized documents and computers as part of their inquiry.
