Howlin dismisses 'instability' within Labour


A senior member of Labour is denying suggestions of 'instability' in the party.

Brendan Howlin Minister Public Expenditure and Reform is insisting Labour has a clear mandate from its members.

His comments come amid reports today that the Labour leader, Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore, is facing an internal revolt.

Reports in the media suggest a leadership heave is likely to take place once Ireland's EU Presidency is over.
