Socialist Party leader, Joe Higgins, says Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy should use next Wednesday’s Budget to give a boost to the less well-off in society and to implement justice on taxation.

Dep Higgins says ordinary working people are tired of being fleeced by stealth taxes while corporate millionaires pay little.

"We want to see measures to implement taxation justice for ordinary working people. We want an end to the policy of many years now, of huge tax concessions for big corporations and a plethora of stealth taxes on ordinary families and ordinary working people."
