Hundreds of cheering fans have given Team Ireland’s Special Olympic Athletes a hero’s welcome at Dublin Airport.
The 88 sports stars and their 40 coaches arrived in from LA this morning showing off their 82 medals, including 26 gold, 28 silver and 28 bronze.
Hundreds of family, friends and fans were in Terminal Two this morning to support the athlete’s home coming.

The athlete's mothers at Terminal Two are very proud of their athletes.
"My son James Meenan from Dundalk, Co Louth, he won Gold, he won Silver, he won Bronze, two personal bests. I can't describe how I feel. I'm so excited. I'm so proud and I'm so happy for him," said James Meehan's mum.

"I'm here for Laura Reynolds, she's my daughter. They won Gold for Basketball out in the Games. It's a great achievement for all the girls, and we're delighted for the team," said Laura Reynold's mum.
