Hatcher offers life lessons in book

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is offering advice and inspiration to her female fans in a new book she plans to release next year.

The 40-year-old brunette beauty, who has been enjoying a resurgence in popularity since the debut of her acclaimed TV show, plans to share a few life lessons in Burnt Toast, which is scheduled to be published in the spring.

She says in a statement: "I have had many women approach me, sharing their own stories, and ask me how it feels to have a second chance at 40.

"With this book, I truly hope to reach everyone that I don't bump into on the street and share my story."
