Hash plants found in garda Monaghan raid

Two men have been arrested in Monaghan after gardaí discovered a large quantity of cannabis plants in two separate houses this morning.

The plants with an estimated street value of €300,000 were found during searches of houses in the Monaghan area this morning.

The men, both in their twenties, are being held at Monaghan garda station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

It is the fourth discovery of large amounts of cannabis in separate raids by gardaí around the country this week.
