Independent MEP Marian Harkin has revealed that she has still not decided which grouping to join in the European Parliament.

Ms Harkin was elected in the North-West constituency.

Asked about her European allegiances today, she said: “At the end of the day, it’s about my representing my constituents in the best possible way and that will determine which group I join.

"There’s a lot of negotiation, a lot of talking to be done and I’ll be very much involved in that over the next few weeks.”
