Greyhound recycling worker injured at staff protest

A Greyhound worker has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bin truck in Dublin. It happened at an unofficial protest outside the company's depot in Knockmitten near Clondalkin.

It is understood the truck was reversing at the time.

Workers in Dublin City Council areas started the unofficial action today in a row with management over new terms and conditions.

The company said it regrets the strike, which goes against a labour court recommendation.

Commercial customers and those in south Dublin are not affected.
