Govt promises more money for school projects
10/12/2006 - 12:49:18The Minister for Education, Mary Hanafin, has promised more money will be spent on school building and modernisation projects this year than ever before.
Over €540m will be invested in 1,500 projects in schools around the country over the coming 12 months.
Minister Hanafin says schools in "developing areas," schools that need additional accommodation for special needs students, and those with structural damage will be prioritised .
