Govt announces initiative to reduce HR costs
22/05/2012 - 17:02:12Up to 40 Government departments, offices and agencies are to take part in a new Government initiative that will see Human Resources being shared.
The centre will also consolidate administration in finance and IT.
It is part of plans for a Civil Service-wide Human Resources Shared Service Centre, which it is hoped will save €12.5m per annum when fully operational.
It is estimated that the annual cost of HR services will be reduced by 26% and the number of staff involved in delivering the services will be reduced by at least 17%.
