The Department of Foreign Affairs is urging Irish people to avoid "non-essential" travel to Nigeria.

It follows an outbreak of the Ebola virus there, which kills up to 90% of the people who catch it.

In London, an emergency cabinet meeting has been held to discuss fears the disease could travel to this side of the world.
