Government urged to cut fuel tax

The government is being warned that more jobs will be lost unless it cuts the level of tax on fuel.
The warning from business group ISME comes as the cost of petrol and diesel is set to reach record levels next week.
AA Ireland says prices will increase by as much as 4-5% per litre, with international oil prices the main driver behind the increases.
But ISME chief executive Mark Fielding says most of the price paid by business takes the form of government taxes.
"We have to make deliveries and have to get our transport right. We have to, as an exporting nation, get our goods off the island and that's costly.
"The government have to look at that and not be profiting on the bad luck of increased oil prices."
