Government to set up National Procurement office


The Government is attempting to save between €200 million and €600 million from the cost of buying goods and services.

A new National Procurement office will be set up in the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.

The Public Service currently spends around €9 billion a year on goods such as stationery and other services.
