Government TD calls for arrest of Phoenix Park concert promoters
A Government TD has today called for the arrest of concert promoters MCD.
Dublin South West Labour TD Eamonn Maloney also called for the promoters not to be granted any licence in future given the loss of life at the Phoenix Park gig last Saturday.
Three people died, at least nine people were stabbed and there were dozens of arrests in the wake of the Swedish House Mafia concert.
"I'm astonished that four days after the event that the people responsible for the concert, MCD promoters, that none of them shave been arrested," he said.
"I believe they should be arrested. I believe they should have been arrested as early as Sunday morning given the fallout of this particular concert."
Justice Minister Alan Shatter has described the event in the Dáil this evening as "a rave".
