The Fianna Fáil leader has accused the Government of spending more time trying to stay in power, than serving the people that elected them.

Micheál Martin made the claim in a speech at the Liam Mellowes memorial in Castletown, Co Wexford this afternoon.

He told the event there was "an air of detachment" about the Government.

He also accused left wing parties of making populist promises that are not achievable.
