More than three-quarters of working parents are unhappy with the way they are being treated by the Government, according to a recruitment website.

IrishJobs.ie says 77% of respondents to a survey it carried out felt the Government was failing to support working parents.

More than half said they were under financial pressure every month due to childcare costs.

Some of the suggestions for tackling the situation include tax credits, subsidies, a cap on childcare fees and increased parental leave entitlements.
