Good weather for the long weekend!

Well, as good as you can expect for October in Ireland.

Good weather for the long weekend!

The Cork Guinness Jazz Festival taking place this Bank Holiday weekend is off to a good start weather wise with a dry few days up ahead of crisp, fresh weather.

40,000 people are set to descend on the Rebel county to enjoy some jazz music with a bit of craic and devilment mixed in for flavour.

Saturday is to be a mild day, with some cloud as well as bright and sunny spells. The West will be subjected to some drizzle later in the day, but overall it will remain dry with temperatures hitting 13-15 degrees.

Saturday night is thought to be full of merriment in the Rebel county and there will be no stopping the party once the pubs close as the night is set to be mostly cloudy with temperatures not dropping below 10-11 degrees.

Probably best to bring a jacket if you are out and about though.

Sunday is going to be dry across Leinster, east Ulster and east Munster with sunny spells and random patches of drizzle so pick a pub with a well covered beer garden!

Bank Holiday Monday is forecast to be a mild and dry day with some sunny spells. Temperatures are to be between 12-15 degrees with a mild night to follow.

Happy jazzing!
