One of the most significant finds of gold coins has gone on display at the National Museum of Ireland.

One of the most significant finds of gold coins has gone on display at the National Museum of Ireland.

The coins were found on January 14 by builders, under the floorboards of a pub they were renovating, in Carrick-on-Suir in Co. Tipperary.

The find consists of 80 coins dating as far back to the 17th century.
