GOAL workers go missing in Sudan

The aid agency GOAL added two of its Sudanese aid workers are "unaccounted for" after an incident in the Darfur region of Sudan.

A third aid worker from another agency is also missing.

The staff were abducted by an unknown group while driving on a routine assignment on Wednesday.

A fourth person, a driver also working for GOAL, was also abducted in the incident but was later released.

GOAL's chief operations officer Jonathan Edgar has said the agency's crisis management team is working to determine the next course of action.

The agency says all the relevant agencies have been informed.
