Girl, 8, killed in Cork crash
Clonakilty Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Owenahincha Cross, Rosscarbery, Clonakilty at around 3pm today.
An eight-year-old girl was fatally injured in the crash and her body has been removed to Cork University Hospital. A second female passenger has been taken to the same hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the car and three other passengers received minor injuries, while the 17-year-old driver of the other car is also being treated for minor injuries.
The road has been closed for a Garda Forensic Collision examination and local diversions are in place.
