Gilmore: Children's hospital not on today's Cabinet agenda

The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has said a report recommending a site for the new National Children's Hospital is not on the agenda for today's Cabinet meeting.

It is understood the Dolphin Report will recommend St James' Hospital in Dublin as the best site for the development.

The report has to be presented to Cabinet Ministers before a decision is made, but the Tánaiste said that will not happen today.

Speaking on his way into Government Buildings, Mr Gilmore said the matter will be considered "shortly" and he refused to speculate on the location.
