Garth Brook's Management team attempted to make contact with Enda Kenny yesterday but he was otherwise engaged with matters of the cabinet reshuffle.

The Herald reports this morning that the country singer's team tried to call the Taoiseach a number of times to no avail.

The Tennessee star is looking to hammer out a deal with Dublin City Council which will see his all five of his planned Croke Park gigs reinstated in two weeks time.

A deal put forward on Thursday which would see Brooks play two matinee performances on top of three night shows was rejected.
