Gardaí are treating the death of an elderly man in Dublin as suspicious.

The body of the 63-year-old was discovered at his home in Ringsend at around 4am on Monday morning.

He was living at Cambridge Court, a housing complex for senior citizens.

The scene remains sealed off, while a post mortem examination takes place.

Cambridge Court in Ringsend is a sheltered housing complex run by Dublin City Council for senior citizens and it is believed the man lived there for several years.
