Gardaí treat Donegal death as suspicious
Gardaí in Donegal are treating as suspicious the death of a man in Letterkenny earlier today.
The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at a doctor's surgery this morning after becoming ill at a house in the town.
A post mortem examination was being carried out at Letterkenny General Hospital this afternoon.
Inspector Pat O'Donnell, who is leading the investigation, said the man may have been dead before he arrived at the clinic.
"At five past eight this morning a car arrived with a number of people on board," Inspector O'Donnell said.
"One of the people, a young male aged thirty was in some distress - we believe he was unconscious or may have actually passed on at that stage."
"A doctor attempted to revive the young man, however after CPR was administered for a number of minutes he was pronounced dead at 8.08am."
