Gardaí seize €2.6m of cannabis


Up to €2.6m worth of cannabis has been seized in Dublin.

Detectives investigating a Dublin-based Organised Crime Group, along with Custom officials, made the discovery today when they carried out a search at an industrial premises in Ballymount.

They seized 106 kilogrammes of Herbal Cannabis and 112 kilogrammes of Cannabis Resin.

The consignment arrived into the country through Dublin Port from the Netherlands.

No arrests have yet been made and Gardaí have said investigations are continuing.
