Gardaí seek information on suspected getaway vehicle
21/01/2010 - 13:02:08Gardaí are today appealing for the public's help in tracing the movements of what is thought to have been the getaway vehicle used in the country's latest gangland killing.
A post mortem has been carried out on the victim - 42-year-old Ger Stanton - who was shot dead in the driveway of his home in the Cork suburb of Wilton last night.
A red Litace van with bullbars was found burned out near Waterfall shortly after the shooting.
Gardaí have set up an incident room at Togher Station - and are asking anyone who may have spotted the vehicle in the area yesterday evening to contact them.
