Gardaí investigating a fatal hit and run incident in Dublin are anxious to speak to two women, who took a lift in the car believed to have been involved in the incident.

A 50-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car on North Street in Swords in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Officers have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the incident.

They now want to speak to two women who were seen getting into a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf car in the Swords area, between 3am and 3.30am yesterday morning, to contact Swords Garda Station.
