Gardaí renew appeal in Belinda Pereira case

Gardaí in Dublin are renewing their appeal for information in relation to the murder of Belinda Pereira, who was found dead following an attack 18 years ago.

Twenty-six-year-old Belinda Pereira was briefly staying in an apartment at Mellor's Court in Liffey Street in Dublin 1 when, on December 29th 1996, she was found dead.

She had arrived in Ireland from London on Christmas Eve and had been planning to return to Britain on New Year's Day.

Detectives involved in this enquiry say they know there are people who were close to those involved in Belinda's death at the time that have details which would give some closure to the victim's family.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to those people to make contact with Store Street Garda Station or to call the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
