Gardaí in Dublin have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a hit and run in Baldoyle this day last week.

A 26-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the Strand Road in the early hours of last Saturday morning.

He was knocked to the ground, suffered serious leg injuries, and is still being treated at Beaumont Hospital.

Gardaí in Howth are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward in particular anyone who knows anything about a black Volvo S.40 model with a 07 - D registration.

The driver of the car failed to stop and the car was abandoned in the Castlemoyne Estate.
