A man arrested in connection with a gun attack in county Offaly yesterday has been released without charge.

A man arrested in connection with a gun attack in county Offaly yesterday has been released without charge.

A man in his 30's and a woman in her 20's were injured during the incident at the Cluain Darach estate in Tullamore on Sunday night.

The couple were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A man, who was arrested in connection with the incident yesterday morning, has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
