Gardaí investigating the murder in Phoenix Park have released a man in his 20s without charge.

Gardaí investigating the murder in Phoenix Park have released a man in his 20s without charge.

They also say that the body found in Phoenix Park on Friday has been formally identified as Gerard Donnelly aged 36 years of no fixed abode.

The man who was detained at Finglas Garda station as part of the investigation has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A 17-year-old female remains in custody at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A third man has already appeared in court in relation to the death.
