Seven people remain in Garda custody this morning, in connection with the alleged rape of a young girl over a five-year period in Dublin.
The five men, who range in age from 19 to 47 and two women who are in their forties, were detained in Dublin and Wexford yesterday.
It is claimed the girl, who is now ten years old, was abused between the ages of four and nine.
The seven people are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at various garda stations in south Dublin.
