A man in his 40's remains in Garda custody in Galway this morning in connection with the death of Adrian Folan, whose body was found yesterday in a quarry near the Cliffs of Moher.
The 41-year-old - originally from Carraroe in Galway - had been missing from his home in Athlone since Thursday night.
The scene in Co Clare where Mr Folan's body was discovered had been sealed off, and a house in Carraroe was also being examined as part of this investigation.
A man arrested in Connemara yesterday remains in custody at Mill street Garda Station in Galway city this morning.
Meanwhile, his family is appealing for privacy.
In a statement the family says it is a difficult time and they are asking all media, including photographers, not to approach the house or any member of the family.
