Gardaí probe Offaly leisure centre tragedy
22/04/2005 - 07:25:24Gardaí are investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl at a leisure centre in Offaly yesterday.
It happened after 6pm at the Clara Sports and Leisure Centre, around 10 miles from Tullamore town.
It is believed that the girl suffered a seizure while she was swimming with friends.
She was given medical treatment and was taken to Tullamore General Hospital, where she later died.
A Garda spokesman said officers were still carrying out inquiries to discover what had happened.
