Dublin Gardaí launch murder inquiry as victim is named

A murder inquiry has been launched after the discovery of a man's body in Dublin in the early hours of yesterday.

It is understood the man, named locally as 37-year-old Andrew Guerrine from Crumlin.

It is believed he had been stabbed.

The body was found on Steelstown Lane near Rathcoole, near the spot where a newborn baby was abandoned just weeks ago, although the cases are not believed to be linked.

The murder investigation was mounted after a post mortem shows he died in violent circumstances.
